Access

From the ticket office there is a special path for the disabled and for wheelchairs made of a double row of lovely flat natural granite stones, and this path provides access across the beautiful outer courtyard to the museum and to the Baroque garden. In the garden there are very wide compressed pea-gravel paths, which provide excellent access. The inner manor courtyard, however, is made up of old cobbled stones, and these stones can be difficult to cross with a wheelchair and for the disabled. Access to the upper floors of the manor house is via an old spiral staircase.

Since the museum is a listed building and its primary function is to preserve the house and its history for future generations, we unfortunately cannot change either the access across the courtyard or the staircase.

Prams and pushchairs

Narrow doorways and the high old door thresholds in the doorways between the rooms make it difficult to bring prams and pushchairs into the museum. We therefore ask that you leave prams and pushchairs in the courtyard and bring a baby sling for carrying babies and very small children.

Dogs

All assistance dogs are welcome, both indoors and out. Other dogs are welcome in the garden provided they are on a lead. In the inner courtyard there are hooks where you can tether your dog safely while you go into the museum, and bowls with fresh drinking water for their comfort.

Toilets

There are two unisex toilets on the ground floor of the north wing. Facilities for the disabled can be found at The Danish Agricultural Museum just across the courtyard from us.
