The cabinet is the count’s private room. It is richly decorated, with new fabric wall coverings. By the mid-18th century, having precious textiles on the walls are still in fashion. The patterns are different, however, the colours paler and the fabrics framed by gilded wood mouldings. The floor is painted as if it was an exotic hardwood floor with an elaborate parquet pattern, which was discovered in the room underneath the floor mouldings and skirting boards.
