The Great Hall is the grandest presentational room at the manor. The hall was decorated by Augusta Winterfeldt and Christen Scheel in the 1720s, and in its splendour, size and beautiful details, it shows off the greatness and wealth of the Scheel line in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The walls boast the tapestries depicting the many estates owned by the Scheels in the 1690s. The doors and panels are marbled, and the grandeur of the hall is emphasised by the magnificent, stuccoed ceiling from the 1720s with its original chandelier.
Above the doors to the Antechamber and the Dining Room are Balthasar Denner’s portraits of Augusta and Christen Scheel
