Support the Museum

We need your help! By supporting Gammel Estrup – The Danish Manor & Estate Museum you help ensure the preservation of an important part of the Danish cultural heritage and develop the museum so that we can remain a strong cultural institution in Djursland – and in Denmark.

Support with a minimum of 200 DKK and you help Gammel Estrup remain on the Danish Tax Authority's list of approved, non-profit associations and institutions.

Each year, the museum must receive 100 donations of at least DKK 200 in order to remain on the Danish Tax Authority's list of approved, non-profit associations and institutions.

Your donation means:

1. The museum receives an additional pool of funds for special acquisitions/initiatives.

2. Testamentary gifts to Gammel Estrup become tax-exempt.

3. The museum is eligible to receive substantial VAT compensation.

Get a tax deduction:

Monetary donations to Gammel Estrup are tax-deductible. When making a donation, we simply need the donor’s CPR or CVR number so we can report it to the Danish Tax Authority, and the deduction will be applied automatically.

How to Donate

Bank Transfer:
Transfer DKK 200 or more to Gammel Estrup’s account, reg. no.: 7260 and account no.: 1390106. Please include your CPR or CVR number and mark the payment "Donation". The museum will then report it to the Danish Tax Authority, and you will automatically receive a tax deduction for the amount (up to DKK 15,200 can be deducted).

MobilePay:
Pay DKK 200 to Gammel Estrup via MobilePay no.: 15279. Please include your CPR or CVR number and mark the payment "Donation". The museum will then report it to the Danish Tax Authority, and you will automatically receive a tax deduction for the amount (up to DKK 18,300 can be deducted). If there is not enough space in the text field, please send the information to post@gammelestrup.dk.

Thank you very much for your support.

Being on the Danish Tax Authority's list of approved, non-profit associations and institutions list means, among other things, that the museum can receive inheritances without them being taxed and that the museum can receive significant VAT compensation.

Being on the list is therefore crucial for the continued operation and development of Gammel Estrup – The Danish Manor & Estate Museum.
